We believe the only way to face fear, uncertainty, and doubt is with resilience. While the spectre of regulation hangs over the whole cryptocurrency industry, the Stream team is unshaken in our mission of building a product and protocol that puts creators first.

There is a lot of regulatory uncertainty in the United States right now — and all blockchain projects projects are dealing with the same harsh reality. That said, though the water is murky and there is reason to be cautious, we are not scared.

We believe in our vision and the power of decentralization to bring agency back to the many, from the grip of the few. We are confident in our ability to work effectively with our legal team and the necessary regulatory bodies to continue working towards our mission. This is a critical period for the future of crypto, particularly in the US.

Will there be Stream Token airdrop in my country?

We would love to do a regulation-compliant airdrop and are currently working with our legal counsel to find the best possible path to broad token distribution. As a next step, this may end up looking like an airdrop to non-US persons outside of the U.S. This would be likely done exclusively through the released Chrome Extension.

What is the product?

The Stream Chrome Extension allows creators to earn Stream Tokens from fans on existing live streaming platforms. Creators can earn tokens through direct support from viewers, and through automated daily rewards proportional to how much viewership the creator’s video has earned from Stream users. This allows creators to accept immediate, fee-free payments, directly within YouTube and Twitch.

What stage are you in development?

The Chrome Extension is currently going through final security audits.

Once I get my Stream Tokens, what can I use them for from day one?

From the first day you get your STR, you’ll be able to transfer these tokens to your favorite YouTube and Twitch creators for their videos and livestream, all through the Stream Chrome Extension, without transaction fees.
